Our goal is to provide you with a genuine extra-virgin cod liver oil (EVCLO) that’s as close to the freshness and nutrient content as you would find in the liver of a living codfish.
Coming from a long line of Norwegian fishermen, we’re passionate about quality. We aim to prove this to you with the utmost care we dedicate to our craft. Only sustainably wild caught Atlantic cod (Gadus Morhua) from the pristine waters of Northern Norway are used. And we harvest the fish with our bare hands.
No chemicals, solvents or mechanical devices are ever used during extraction or production. The oil is completely unrefined and produced under the total absence of heat, an invaluable process that protects its incredible nutritional value.
The result is the same wild and raw liver oil that our ancestors, the Vikings and old Scandinavian fishermen, consumed for robust health and healing.

Extra-Virgin Cod Liver Oil (EVCLO)
The cornerstone of Rosita Real Foods is our Extra-Virgin Cod Liver Oil (EVCLO). It is real Norwegian cod liver oil that’s fresh, raw and handcrafted from wild livers using a generations-old extraction technique, which turns to nature to separate the oil from its liver.
This type of cod liver oil is precious, rare and virtually impossible to produce on an industrial level (Meanwhile, many of the industrialized fish body/liver oils undergo heavy refining that actually robs them of the nutrients they’re supposed to possess).
EVCLO has a pale, golden color and a mild, fishy taste. Taking a spoonful or a capsule is akin to eating a piece of nutrient-rich, fresh fish.
Ratfish Liver Oil
Rosita wild handcrafted Ratfish Liver Oil™ is an ancient whole food derived from the liver of Chimaera monstrosa, also known as the Ratfish. It’s handmade in small batches from the finest-quality wild liver.
Like our EVCLO, the process of extraction is unique and based on age-old principles. No chemicals, heat, steam, or mechanical pressure are ever used in production. Metal is never used to manipulate the livers for fear of metal-induced lipid oxidation.
